Dr. Yvonne Surya is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. Having practiced dentistry for over 30 years, her extensive experience has made her a leading practitioner in Burlington. Dedicated to the precise needs of her patients, Dr. Surya remains on the cutting edge of new technologies, and oral hygiene education. Dr. Jason Xu
Dr. Jason Xu
Dr. Jason Xu completed his Master’s degree in neurobiology at Western University and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto. During his time in school, he was highly involved in international outreach programs, travelling to Cambodia to provide dental care to children in schools and orphanages. In his local communities, Dr. Xu regularly volunteered in conducting interactive science experiments for elementary and middle school students. Furthermore, he also volunteered in a non-profit organization in the GTA that focused on the rehabilitation and socialization of youth with mental and/or physical disabilities.
As a dental provider, Dr. Xu excels in creating a safe and calming atmosphere for all his patients through active listening and clear communication. He regularly attends continuing education courses to stay updated on the latest research and technological advancements in oral health. Outside the clinic, he enjoys playing basketball, baseball, and recently picked up golf!
Dr. Abbas Hassanali
Dr. Abbas Hassanali
Dr. Abbas Hassanali is a certified specialist in Periodontology and Implant Surgery. He completed his undergraduate training in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Toronto followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the very same institution. He subsequently completed his MSc and advanced specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Surgery, also at the University of Toronto. His research focused on protein biochemistry, cell biology, and matrix dynamics has been published and presented at several international meetings.
Dr. Hassanali provides the full scope of surgical periodontal and dental implant therapy. In addition to the conventional periodontal procedures, Dr. Hassanali has a particular interest in esthetic and reconstructive periodontics. Dr. Hassanali is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and an active member of the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, and Ontario Society of Periodontists. He continues to maintain a strong affiliation to the University of Toronto as an Associate in Dentistry, where he contributes to the surgical training of residents in the Implant Prosthodontics Unit.
