Dentures

Missing teeth can affect how you eat, speak, and even how your face looks.
At Dr. Surya Family Dentistry, we provide dentures that are comfortable, natural-looking, and tailored to your needs. Our goal is to help you regain confidence in your smile and make everyday activities easier and more enjoyable.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are ideal when a few teeth are missing or when surrounding teeth are not strong enough to support a bridge. They are made up of artificial teeth that clasp securely onto nearby teeth and can be easily removed for cleaning. Partial dentures help restore your smile, bite, and confidence while protecting your remaining natural teeth.

Complete Dentures
Complete dentures, often called “false teeth,” replace all of the teeth in your upper or lower jaw. They are held in place by suction and may take some time to get used to.
There are two types of complete dentures:
- Immediate Dentures – These are made from models of your jaw before your teeth are removed. They are placed immediately after extractions so you are never without teeth during the healing period, which can take up to six months.
- Conventional Dentures – These are placed after your gums and jaw have fully healed following extractions. They are custom-fit for comfort and function.

Overdentures
If standard dentures are not comfortable or stable enough, we may recommend overdentures. These removable dentures fit over remaining natural teeth or implants. If no natural teeth remain, small implants can be placed in the jawbone to anchor the overdenture securely.
Overdentures can improve stability and make eating and speaking easier.
Caring for Your Dentures
Just like natural teeth, dentures need daily care to stay clean, comfortable, and long-lasting.
- Rinse your dentures under water, then clean them with a denture cleaner or mild soap using a soft brush.
- Avoid bending attachments or scratching the plastic.
- Soak your dentures overnight in warm water with denture cleaner to prevent warping or drying out.
If your dentures become cracked or attachments are worn, bring them in for repair.
Wearing damaged dentures can cause discomfort or damage your mouth.
Regular checkups ensure your dentures continue to fit well and support your oral health.
Our team is here to make wearing dentures comfortable and simple. From partial and complete dentures to overdentures, we provide personalized care and guidance so you can smile, eat, and speak with confidence every day.
